From the cycle paths along the sea you can enjoy the sea on one side and the high mountains on the other.
The Apennines reach their highest point in Abruzzo with 9554 feet and that is why Abruzzo is the second winter sports area in Italy.
Every year, the Giro d'Italia makes grateful use of what Abruzzo has to offer for cyclists: one year a tough mountain stage the next year a flat stage along the sea.
One thing is certain: wherever you are on the bike you can enjoy overwhelming panoramas during the cycling trips. And on every hilltop you have authentic Italian towns, some of which were founded before Christ.
And of course you can enjoy the delicious Italian cuisine here!
